METHPOL is a five-year project, running from 2026 until the end of 2030 – the date targeted by the Global Methane Pledge for a 30% reduction in global methane emissions.

The project is funded by a European Research Council advanced grant.

The METHPOL project and research team are all based in the School of Politics and International Studies at the University of Leeds.
